Semantics
Build word knowledge from the inside out by strengthening lexical semantics through Semantic Feature Analysis, then expanding vocabulary in narrative contexts and, finally, using the framework of story grammar to express well-organized stories. 
Articulation
A structured 15-lesson articulation program that moves from words to conversation, targeting common speech-sound errors through systematic practice while incorporating minimal-pair training for phonological processes.
Syntax
Teach students the grammar and word order that make sentences complete, giving them the tools to construct, expand, and revise sentences—and ultimately pick up a pencil and confidently build sentences of their own.
Morphology
Increase morphological awareness so students can see the meaningful parts in words, break apart unfamiliar words, uncover meanings, and approach increasingly complex academic vocabulary with confidence.
Phonology
An intensive, systematic program for emerging readers who need stronger phonological awareness, building the sound-based skills that help students unlock the sound-symbol code and become successful readers.
Fluency
Teach the speech body and how tension interrupts airflow, then explore strategies for specific types of disfluency and choose strategies aligned with individual goals. Finally, build strategy mastery and control through a hierarchy from words to conversation.

Created by a Speech-Language Pathologist who understands school challenges

Speech Academy was founded as Carrie envisioned a program that did it all: provided a deep scope of evidence-based materials that could grow with her students across six elementary years, targeting the core areas of speech and language shown to support reading and academics. She wanted a digital platform she could comfortably work in all day—one that calculated her students' scores, showed what each student had completed, and was accessible to students at any time, at home or at school.

Frustrated with the ineffectiveness of “wait-your-turn” group intervention, she built a program to accelerate the pace of learning. With Speech Academy, students stay fully engaged in highly visual, fun activities on their own devices while therapists maintain full teaching control. Every lesson inside the platform reflects current research showing that the main domains of language are interdependent systems: when we strengthen one, we strengthen others.
