Semantics
Build word knowledge from the inside out—strengthening lexical semantics through Semantic Feature Analysis, then expanding into vocabulary in narrative contexts and story grammar to help students understand how words and ideas work together to create meaningful stories.
Articulation
16 sound programs, each with 15 lessons, moving from words to conversation, targeting common speech-sound errors through systematic practice while incorporating minimal-pair training for phonological processes.
Syntax
Teach students the grammar and word order that make sentences complete, giving them the tools to construct, expand, and revise sentences—and ultimately pick up a pencil and confidently build sentences of their own.
Morphology
Increase morphological awareness so students can see the meaningful parts in words, break apart unfamiliar words, uncover meanings, and approach increasingly complex academic vocabulary with confidence.
Phonology
An intensive, systematic program for emerging readers who need stronger phonological awareness, building the sound-based skills that help students unlock the sound-symbol code and become successful readers.
Fluency
Teach the speech body and how tension can interrupt airflow, then explore strategies for specific types of disfluency, choosing individual goals. Finally, build strategy mastery and control in a hierarchy from words to conversation.

How is Speech Academy different from other speech therapy platforms?

Speech Academy is the most comprehensive K-6 speech-language program in digital form that tracks student performance. The entire program is research-based, prioritizing expressive language and the techniques proven to grow the language needed for academic success. It's organized efficiently, capitalizing on cross-domain generalization. Lessons are interactive. The SLP or teacher teaches the lesson to the group, using the visuals if they choose. Then, just as they would with one-to-one devices in a classroom, students complete the interactive materials on their own devices. Based on the tenet that a good therapy session keeps the therapist front and center, directions and instruction are minimal, allowing many options with activities. There's no more waiting for a turn. Do my students each need their own login?

Yes, they do need their own login. They will have their own dashboard, which gives them full access to the programs you assign them. They can access their programs in teletherapy and outside of your sessions, such as at home or during WIN periods of the school day.

Can my students access their Speech Academy programs to practice outside of our speech sessions? 

Yes, of course! This is a huge benefit of Speech Academy.

Can I use this platform in school with district-owned devices?

Yes, it is protected and safe for students to access their courses in school with district-owned devices. Nothing links to other internet sites. All lessons are hosted entirely within Speech Academy.

What happens after 12 months?

Individual subscribers will receive an email reminder before their subscription automatically renews. Districts that pay by purchase order will receive an email to submit a new P.O. so their therapists don't lose access at the end of the current subscription.

What if I don't like it?

Email us a request to cancel. We'll take care of the rest. Enjoy access until the end of your annual subscription. Watch for an email from us to confirm your subscription will not renew.
