Speech Academy is one of the most comprehensive K-6 speech-language program in digital form that tracks student performance. The entire program is research-based, prioritizing expressive language and the techniques proven to grow the language needed for academic success. It's organized efficiently, capitalizing on cross-domain generalization. Lessons are interactive. The SLP or teacher teaches the lesson to the group, using the visuals if they choose. Then, just as they would with one-to-one devices in a classroom, students complete the interactive materials on their own devices. Based on the tenet that a good therapy session keeps the therapist front and center, directions and instruction are minimal, leaving room for many ways to use each activity. There's no more waiting for a turn. With every swipe, sort, match, build and short answer, students stay engaged and learning for the whole session. 

Yes, they do need their own login. They will have their own dashboard, which gives them full access to the programs you assign them. They can access their programs in teletherapy and outside of your sessions, such as at home or during WIN (What I Need) periods of the school day.

Yes. Students can log in from any device at home or school, so you can assign practice between sessions. 

Yes, it is protected and safe for students to access their courses in school with district-owned devices. Nothing links to other internet sites. All lessons are hosted entirely within Speech Academy.

Every activity was made with these parameters in mind: 1) Therapists should be the source of fun, not a screen. While our activities are engaging, colorful, and packed with interest, they are not gamified. We want your students socially engaged and motivated by impressing you with their smart answers, not by collecting tokens. 2) Every therapist teaches differently, and our activities allow space for all teaching styles and student ability levels. Want to work together on every page offering high levels of support to your students? You can. Want to teach a mini-lesson, then give them independence to practice? You can do that, too. 3) Lessons are designed to look appealing to a broad range of ages and abilities. 

Individual subscribers will receive an email reminder before their subscription automatically renews. Districts that pay by purchase order (PO) will receive an email to submit a new PO so their therapists don't lose access at the end of the current subscription.
